CFB Esquimalt Naval & Military Museum is located at Naden on Canadian Forces Base Esquimalt, in the city of Victoria, which is situated on the southern tip of Vancouver Island, province of British Columbia, Canada.
The museum's goal is to collect, preserve, interpret and display the history and heritage of the naval presence on Canada’s West Coast and of the military on Southern Vancouver Island.

July 31, 1922 - The Royal Naval College of Canada at Esquimalt closes down. Their schooner HMCS Naden is paid off, and all personnel are then borne on the books of HMCS Guelph, the Halifax depot.
July 31, 1940 - HMCS Prince Robert is commissioned at Esquimalt as an Armed Merchant Cruiser.
July 31, 1942 - HMCS Skeena and HMCS Wetaskin sink U-588 in the North Atlantic.
CFB Esquimalt Naval & Military Museum's project to gather information about women who served in the Women's Royal Canadian Naval Service (WRCNS) during World War II has just reached a milestone:

The museum is open Monday through Friday, 10:00 am - 3:30 pm., excepting statutory holidays.
Starting the weekend of 5-6 June 2010 until 28-29 August 2010, the museum will be open for visitors seven days a week (except for statutory holidays, and Sat. 14 August) - 10:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
