  1. PROVIDER. Monty Shore, former SLt, RCNVR, 0-66720, who served in this ship as Asdic officer from 1943 to 1945, stated in July 2005 that his ship had no insignia. The pendant number on the stern was painted as follows: FIDO vice F100, the first 0 being rectangular in shape. Consequently, the ship's nickname was Fido.
  2. MAGOG. HJ (Bud) Robertson, former A/Electrical Artificer 4/c, RCNVR, V-58820, who served in the ship from May 1943 to October 1944, stated in an e-mail that his ship had no badge.
  3. The first LEAVIS K115 does not appear to have had an insignia. Photographs show there was nothing on her gun shield when she was sunk on 19 September 1941.
  4. VISON. Brant ‘Pop’ Fotheringham, former Slty, RCNVR, 0-23690, who served in this ship up to 1943, said in a telephone conversation that to the best of his recollection, the ship had no insignia.
